FAQ: How Am I Being Billed for My Phone Number Usage?

In this article we will address the most common questions when it comes to billing for your call tracking number.

How much does it cost for my phone number?

The price can vary depending on the location of your call tracking number. However in most cases for a US based number, prices tend to be:

  • $2.75/mo per number
  • $0.02/min outbound dialing
  • $0.04/min inbound calls
  • an additional $0.01/min for call recording
  • $0.01/text message (up to 160 characters - Click Here for details)
  • $0.04/image message

These are approximations and they can change at anytime depending on the phone number you purchase.

How much does my phone number cost if it's not a US number?

What happens if I send texts that are more than 160 characters? How am I billed if that happens?

When you send a SMS message over 160 characters the message will be split. Large messages are segmented into 153 character segments and sent individually then rebuilt by the recipients device.

For example, a 161 character message will be sent as two messages, one with 153 characters and the second with 8 characters.

What this means is a 161 character text message will be billed as two text messages, and a text message of 307 characters will be billed as three text messages - and so on.

For clarity, this is not a practice of FunnelFLARE. It is something we have to work within the technology available from our provider.

Am I being billed even if there is no answer from a person or an answering machine on the other end?

Yes, as soon as you make a call, the first minute will start being billed. Again, this is not a FunnelFLARE practice as much as it is really a situation we need to work within from our provider for this service.

Is there any additional pricing for outbound long distance or inbound long distance?

Within North America, no. Calling and receiving calls where both numbers are North American should not result in additional charges in most cases.

Answering a call originating from outside of North America or making a call from a North American number to a destination outside of North America, more than likely. But it is very rare for FunnelFLARE users to be making overseas calls or receiving them with FunnelFLARE.
